This Week's Podcast Guest: Ginger Allen Cucolo

Join us this week when author and historian Ginger Allen Cucolo speaks with us about Dog Tags: The History, Personal Stories, Cultural Impact, and Future of Military Identification.

Dog Tags is a collection of stories from the Civil War to Iraq and Afghanistan. Some are tragic, others have a happy ending; all are poignant and heartwarming.

The military has always been a presence in Ginger's life. As the daughter, wife and sister of servicemen, she has always felt a deep sense of patiotrism and a respect for those who serve their country. This book is her way of show that appreciation for their sacrifice, and of educating the rest of us on this incredible piece of Americana.

Ginger has written articles on the enduring significance of dog tags for the Texas Military Force Museum, the Korean War Veterans Association, Graybeards Magazine, TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors Quarterly Magazine), and on the US Army's homepage for Memorial Day. She also manages five websites, including http://www.dogtaghistory.com/
