Congratulations to three WITS clients (Carl David, Dawn Menge, & Linda Ballou) whose books made semi-finalist position in 2008 Literary Awards Finalists sponsored by Reader Views.
This is the list of finalists from which the winners will be chosen. The finalist list will be available March 15th or sooner. We will announce the winners as soon as the final judging is completed and Reader Views makes this list available.
Carl David's memoir, Bader Field, (Nightengale Press) won Honorable Mention in the 2008 Reader Views Award competition. Yvonne served as developmental and copy editor for this book.
Dawn Menge's children's book, Queen Vernita's Visitors, (Outskirts Press) won Honorable Mention in the 6- to 8-year-old's category. Dawn was interviewed by Sarah Moore on WITS Podcast and you may listen to the interview here.
Linda Ballou's book, Wai-nani: High Chiefess of Hawai'i (Star Publish), received Honorable Mention in the category of historical fiction. Linda was interviewed by Barbara Milbourn on WITS Podcast and you may listen to the interview here. Barbara served as the editor for this book.
