Author Mary Verdick makes her second visit to the Writers in the Sky podcast to discuss her new release That Certain Summer with team member Sarah Moore. In this novel, Verdick introduces her readers to Sally Grimes, a young writer who has been hired to live with aging actress Diane Fenwick and write her biography. Sally quickly falls in love with a man who lives next door, but realizes he is just one of many people she meets who may not be what they seem. The novel offers an integration of romance and suspense, and builds to a climatic ending with twists that readers will not expect.
