Aspiring Authors Workshop

The course features a unique classroom-to-online platform that appeals to different types of learners and offer industry chats from published authors. Students must have internet access. Laptops are recommended. Teachers include Amanda Morgan and Victoria Schwab. Class begins June 1. A second series will be offered in July.

Amanda Morgan is a freelance writer who has been acknowledged in books like CANTERWOOD CREST: CHASING BLUE, THE ESPRESSOLOGIST, THE NAUGHTY LIST, BREAK, and THE MOCKINGBIRDS. She has been represented by Levine Greenberg LA, Bliss Literary, and now, Mary Kole of the Andrea Brown Literary Agency. Amanda wrote for the blog team for SCBWI Midsouth and is an online correspondent for bookchick.com.

Victoria Schwab is represented by the incredible Amy Tipton of Signature Literary Agency, and her debut novel, THE NEAR WITCH, will be released by Disney*Hyperion in Summer 2011. She has appeared in the acknowledgments sections of two books so far, Courtney Summers' SOME GIRLS ARE, and the upcoming debut THE MOCKINGBIRDS, by Daisy Whitney. She is also a member of the YA Rebels, a seven author team that does weekly videos on a variety of writing and publishing topics.

Amanda and Victoria are also co-organizers of the DO THE WRITE THING FOR NASHVILLE event.
